The Four “P’s of Negotiating My Worth”
This professional development session will be a day full of education, empowerment, and opportunities for attendees to enhance skills and increase competencies. The topics will include the following: Advocating for Pay Equity from a system and organizational lens, Protecting your emotional and physical health in the workplace, taking Personalresponsibility for keeping your business in order and Positioning yourself for growth and success.
Goals and Objectives
- Constructively confront systemic and structural issues that contribute to pay inequities and offer strategies to influence policy and practices.
- Provide a forum for the exchange of conversations on building essential skills and the confidence to negotiate your worth along your career journey.
- Develop action steps to advance individual, community, and employer accountability.
- Learn strategies and promote financial, physical, and emotional wellness.
- Learn techniques to successfully navigate your workspaces and build resiliency.
- Learn how to develop strategies that support and advance the workplace needs of black women through an equity-centered lens.
